what i learned this morning
When doing research on the internet it's imperative that I try to stay focused or I can easily get side tracked and become overwhelmed with the massive amounts of information that I end up finding. The ability to reach this information is so much easier now than when I was first going to school back in the 80's. This definitely makes me a digital immigrant who will have to work hard to understand the learning styles of the students in my classes that are digital natives.

I'm finding it more and more difficult to distinguish between real differences and students' lack of commitment and attention to their classes. With graduate students, this isn't as much of a problem as it is with undergraduates. Are they just not focusing as they should or do they really have a different way of thinking and doing. Very perplexing at times.
